Strength
Germany's spine is staggeringly solid, with Manuel Neuer, Jérôme Boateng, Toni Kroos and Thomas Müller, and there is a wealth of assaulting midfielders to call upon.
Weaknesses
Focal midfield looks somewhat unpracticed after wounds to Ilkay Gündogan and Bastian Schweinsteiger, as do the full-back positions, where Emre Can and Jonas Hector could begin.
